Selected
from a gallery of student "before" and "after" works, the above
pencil sketches were completed 6 months apart by Ed Schoen,
an adult student. This is typical of our average student's progress
after 4-8 months. The "before" drawings are done from
students' imagination, memory, or using a classmate as a reference.
The "after" drawings are sketched using a reference
photo.
Valorie
Snyder has developed an innovative approach to teaching. "Right-brain"
exercises are integrated with classical, old-master training
techniques to instill a complete foundation of skills. Students
are often surprised at their rapid improvement in drawing skills,
regardless of prior artistic background.
Classes
are held at Valorie's studio in Littleton from September through
May. Students attend class once a week, and classes are limited
to 8 to 10 students to allow for maximum individual attention.
Summer workshops are also available.
